The hero, Kirby Winter, is an adolescent man living in Florida, loaded with nervousness and feeling no certainty in his capacity to face life, either professionally (he had actually not picked a reasonable calling) or sexually (all his experiences with ladies, since adolescence, finished unfortunately).

Kirby's life had been dominated by an uncle who had been a science instructor and all of a sudden created an uncanny ability for betting, broke a few money joints and made himself a mogul. The uncle appeared baffled with Kirby's failure to make something of himself. At his passing it turns out he had left Kirby none of his riches – only a classic rarity gold pocket watch to which a toy telescope is connected, demonstrating an explicit picture. 

 A more seasoned lady, truly appealing, shows up and makes clear her enthusiasm toward Kirby. He is pulled in to her however feels excessively frail to react to her endeavors at enchantment – which ends up being blessed, as she is a solidified and heartless criminal, who had been his uncle's chief foe. The uncle ordinarily upset the plots of her and her male accomplice, escaped with a lot of their poorly picked up cash and dodged no sweat all that they attempted to do against him. Her enthusiasm toward the nephew infers from the vain any desire for taking in the uncle's mystery (of which Kirby still has no clue).
